free docs creator

I'm looking for a free document (word and excel) creator. I know there are loads of free viewers,but I need to create documents.
On my galaxy s,it came with think free office, but the lite version from the market doesn't seem to have the option to create documents.
It also needs to be able to be used offline,as it's for my Acer a500 tablet.

For to edit Excel sheets there is E-cell xls Light - Android free in Market
