Free Game - Tiki Towers!

So I loved Doodle Jump on my friends iPhone and I went ahead and bought it on the Android only to find out it is a piece of crap.

Anyways, they promised to update Doodle Jump in June, then July, then August... and now they missed their August window.

The developer GameHouse is giving away a free game that anyone can download though, Tiki Towers. Just follow the link below on your Android browser.

"Update: We're searching for the next platform to jump to. Stay tuned for more info! To alleviate your pain, we’re giving you Tiki Towers for free. DL on: http://bit.ly/btdma1
Enable installs from Unknown Sources under Settings/Applications"

The next platform? Does that mean they are going to quit wasting their time on Android since they obviously can't program on it and maybe try porting it to WebOS or something else?

sorry if I'm paranoid, but I see abolutely no reference to this game being free anywhere on the internet. All the markets I checked have it for about $3

Do you have a link to a Gamehouse page with this announcement?

If you go Doodle Jump in the Market (AppBrain Link: Doodle Jump - Android app on AppBrain) you will see that they have a link to download Tiki Towers. The link was posted by the developer in the Doodle Jump description. My GF doesn't have Doodle Jump but was still able to download Tiki Towers with no problems.

"File error parsing package." It all seems weird to me. Why don't they just lower the price in the Market?

That has been fixed for a long time. They didn't update the demo version, so a lot of people still think it is broken.

Ah, makes sense. Just downloaded it using the link they gave in Doodle Jump's description, and was able to get it for free with no problem! Cheers!

What happens about updates for this though if you download it via this link?

They really need to update that. I would have bought it a long time ago if they had. I actually emailed them about the issues in the demo a long time ago and never heard back. Not going to argue with free though. :-)
