Free Hotspot Extended to July 6th

So do you think that means the OTA has been delayed? It says that the cancellation will be in a software update... and since tomorrow is when the OTA update is rumored to come out, which is coincidentally the same day the hotspot expired????

Good point....

I think they're cranky about how nobody is willing to pay $240 a year to use a wifi hotspot somewhere between 1 and 10 times during that span for at most 2 hours. A monthly recurring fee for a transaction-based occasion makes no sense. This is like paying Starbucks $240 a year for coffee.

Reward the frequent users with a flat monthly unlimited rate. Upsell the casual user at the point they need a hotspot with $5 for 24 hours. Duh.

Isn't that exactly what they do with minutes?

The only times I've used Mobile Hotspot it has proved unreliable and quite frustrating. It makes my cell signal drop constantly when its on. I can't imagine paying monthly for such an unreliable feature. Would be like using Verizon's Navigator software and 1/2 the places it lists as either closed or flat out incorrect....err wait...

Wow, they just keep extending this out. Fine by me, but I rather use Wireless Tether as it seems much faster and I am rebellious anyway.

I'd pay $240 a year for Starbucks if that meant coffee everyday. Cheaper then Dunkin/McDs...

Hey, McD's has THE best drip coffee!

I (and my kids and wife) haven't eaten at McD's in years... but their coffee is GREAT!

I get McDonald's coffee nearly daily! I made two trips today. They've spoiled me by being drive-thru and adding my cream and sugar. :o Starbucks is too far and too expensive.
