Free Nexus One!

[UKLooney]

Just got an email from google, goes along these lines...

Due to your contribution to the success of Android Market, we would like to present you with a brand new Android device as part of our developer device seeding program. You are receiving this message because you're one of the top developers in Android Market with one or more of your applications having a 3.5 star or higher rating and more than 5,000 unique downloads.

Developers in the US will receive either a Motorola Droid or a Nexus One (allocated at random, no choice), developers in Europe will be getting a Nexus One.

Happy as Larry...

Google always amaze me. Like when they handed out free devices when it was released (I don't remember where it was). I didn't see Apple handing out iPhones at the keynote speech

Google ftw!
Now, where did I put Eclipse...

Cheers guys,

I'm just nearing the end of a big contract and plan to take a few months off, so I should get round to finishing the app off before the summer. Mostly just user interface improvements to do...

I was also given mine by Google as an app developer (News Alarm) a few weeks back. I love Google and I love my nexus one!! Now I just need some more ideas for my next app!

Do your apps need to have any special requirements to recieve a phone?

Is there any information on any google pages that outline the exact requirements for receiving a free handset? I am about to start developing for Android having been out of the programming loop for years (damn iPhone) and would really like more information on this.

Thanks

Not sure, though here is the thread on Google groups which may shed some light on the matter.
