Free Sprint Internet/Wifi Tethering, Foxfi etc.

Try downloading the file from the website first, and then download the add-on from the playstore. Once you have started foxfi, wait for the "dismiss" button to pop up before you try to connect with a laptop/tablet.

I still can not get FoxFi to work on my Sprint S3. Any suggestions? My laptop with Win7 says it can not connect.

Are you using v. 1.91.3 ? Try switching your phone to wifi, and attempt to start the foxfi. It may or may not work. Then switch your phone to 3G/4G, and start up the foxfi app again. Sometimes I have to start it twice for it to work.

Nope still not working at all :(

Just got s3 on sprint, got pdanet working for usb tethering, but need wifi tethering as well. i installed foxfi, and it does broadcast, but i cant connect to it with either my pc or other phone.

anyone having success with this? any suggestions for getting this done without rooting?

I don't know how anybody gets Foxfi or PDAnet to work on a Sprint Samsung S3. The software is BLOCKED by Sprint. Even Google Play says it is not compatible.

yeah this is a major bummer, I just changed carriers since verizon didnt have unlimited 4g and was throttling

works fine when tethered to pda net but who wants to be corded when they could be cordless

I can connect to my S3 to my macair through pdanet cord, and bluetooth, but not wifi...

Using the bluetooth option to tether the internet seems to be ffaarrr slower than the cord... I need wifi to break this leash

i keep seeing responses saying "sprint has blocked... " so i wanted to mention for those of you who aren't aware of it, there are many apps that the phone companies block.... but there is a while collection of apps that can be downloaded over the internet without going thru the app store. i don't recommend anyone using these apps unless they trust the makers of them. but they do exist and are there.

and if anyone becomes aware of this app being fixed for the Samsung s3 over spring please let me know. thanks!!!

is there any new news about samsung galaxy s3 foxfi cause i got the windows problem saying that windows could not connect and shows "!" on the windows wireless setup

Well, there IS one app that works, unrooted, with stock, I think. Try SVTP Lite app. I think there's an S3 setting. Paid app is $15.

If you root, you can freeze the tethering provision using titanium backup. Then install the basic wifi tether app (I don't have link to it right now).

so how come they are saying is it free using foxfi without rooting the phone and that the samsung galaxy s3 is working with it and also my brother have galaxy s2 and is working fine

yes i know it was blocked from the store. thanks for the link, that's the one i used to install. i would think that the app would work, seeing how the makers are making it specifically available for sprint users like they are.

anyone having success with foxfi or any similar app on sprint?

I'm having success failing with Sprint. I install the application and enable the hotspot buy my iPad fails to see it.
