Several assumptions were made about the bootloader which made the feasibility of this attack much less likely. Only chance of getting keys now is to factorize the public keys. Hash collision attack still seems possible.

Looks doubtful. Hopefully when Moto decides to stop support for the devices they will provide this info or they will make an update that gets pushed to the devices that unlocks the bootloader....however looking at the milestone it looks doubtful
 
Yesterday was a big bummer. Seems like people jumped the gun on whether or not it was a feasable approach. Hopefully MOTO will go the route of the XOOM and not lock future devices.
 
If they decide to make future devices unlocked they should enable a way to unlock current devices...hopefully
