Root Freedompop Data + SIM

Is there anyway to use Freedompop's free data with calling and texting with a SIM card? I was able to put the SIM card in and it registers but calling isn't working.

I have tried lots of things, from changing ROMs, build.prop, and even using DFS, but I have had no success. I think, like the Photon 4G and RAZR M, the phone is blocked to use US bands. I believe that since there is no S-OFF for this model, that US bands are out. Some have been able to use a SIM internationally in Mexico and Canada and use CDMA in the US.

It came as S-OFF with recovery, root, and all. My phone thinks the SIM is Boost Mobile, but not the same phone number as the SIM.
 
Its a way to trick the device to show your not in America using build.prop edits. What custom roms did you use so far .
