Root Freezing on Install update while flashing!!

I have been trying to flash Cognition on my Captivate the past 2 days and I can get past the part where it says Installing Update. I have tried to find other threads on here but they were not helpful. I have downloaded a couple different ROMs to see if that worked but nope. I have the zip file in the right and its obviously rooted. Any ideas?

is it just Cognition, is this your first ROM?

No it was freezing on a couple different ones I tried. But I got Serendipity installed but now it just freezes every time I try and do something. Yes it was my first ROM. Any ideas on how I can get this fixed or go to Cognition? Thanks
