Help Freezing problems

Occasionally, my Droid 2 will freeze for a while. After I take out the battery or let it sit for a while, it will work again, but some of my apps will tell me they're not installed. I go into the phone files to figure out the problem, but it says that my phone files are empty. I've found that I can fix this by connecting it to my computer via USB and viewing my phone's files. It's still annoying though, anybody have any idea what's going on here?
 
I can't tell you what's causing it, but I've been having some issues myself. Believe it or not since installing Angry Birds (the first beta) my phone started lagging and whatnot. I have since re-SBF'ed but there must be one or other two apps not playing nice with the rest.
 
I have Angry Birds installed as well. I really don't care much for the game, so I'll uninstall it and see if the problem persists.
