Friendly Phone Unlock Tip

Both Tmo & Metro preinstall a Device Unlock app.
On Metro- after passing 90 days of consecutive service w/o arrears - open the app and follow instructs. It's super easy and almost Instantaneous.
It's weird how I always get feature unable message. So I never ever was able to use that unlock feature on any of my phone and we've been in metro with good standing for over a year.

I tried it after 4 months and it didn't work. I just tried it a few months later and it did unlock. I don't use it (Metro LG G Stylo OG) as my daily phone anymore but am keeping it as a backup

Another example how our experiences vary so much.
Second time I use Unlock app.
G Stylo really holds its quality well all this time later. I'm kinda sorry I had to upgrade it.

It's based on how long you have the phone, not on how long you've been s customer. 90 days after the device is activated.

Just tried this again last night and now my device is unlock for the first time ever that we have been in metro and 3 - 4 phones later.

I told my husband and he did the same on his phone and worked too of course. He was like, why would I do that? Well I said it's coz you can put any carrier if you did. He still protested but still did it anyway.

I also notice the device unlock is gone once you did it. That means you can only do it in one phone then? I kind of want to put this sim on my galaxy on5 and unlock it but looks like I can't do it anymore.
