From GMAIL to Phone

I have seen several threads on how to save your Phone contacts to Gmail. However what I want to do is transfer and save all my Gmail contacts directly to my phone & sim card.

My answer contains the caveat that I am not certain what the stock ROM looks like and hence I am unsure whether it has the same context men u as my custom ROM, which is however based on Samsung stock.

Anyway, if you open your contacts then press the menu button (bottom left) you should find the context import/export, then press that option; your next context menu should contain the option to export to SIM card. Alternatively, you can try SIM card management apps from the Play Store; I found this one which is free and seems to enable you to copy your phone contacts to SIM and vice versa - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5tb2JpbGUucm9ib3RvYmlhLnNpbS5tYW5hZ2VyMiJd

If you run the Gmail app on your phone you will automatically have all your contacts and calendar items on your phone. If you just want to save your contacts in a file you can do as heat57 says above or you can export directly from your Gmail account online as a csv or vcard file and then save it anywhere you choose.
