Hello everybody!
I have Ics And I Didnt Want To Upgrade To Jb But I Downloaded the Update By Mistake While I Was Sleeping.
If I Update, Will I Lose All My contents. Shall I Back Up First?
I Am New To Android.. Thats Y i m asking

Just a couple of things ... First, no you shouldn't lose your contacts, but it's always prudent to back up your phone. Stuff happens sometimes that goes contrary to the way things are supposed to go. Do you sync your phone to Google? If so, even if the contacts did get erased from the phone, they'd sync back. If not, then a backup is even more important.

Ideally the update should go without a hitch and all your apps files and personal information should be in place. Many times remnants of the previous OS version can cause little niggles with the new system. Many times, after an OS upgrade, a factory reset and a cache wipe is recommended. It's a pain to have to setup your phone again, but in my experience, the time you take to do it will save a lot of headaches, wasted time trying to fix the little problems and you most likely will end up resetting anyway.

Good luck! :)
