If you look in the info section in Quadrant, it identifies the phone as "htc_vigor". Must still be buried in the code somewhere...

it will also say it at the factory recovery menu. That was the phone's code name while it was being developed.

As I recall, the Thunderbolt showed "Mecha" in a few menus, which was it's code name. I suppose they need to have a permanent name in the software, and since quite a few of these phones seem to wait until a few weeks to a month before launch to come up with a finalized name, they use the code name.

The only problem is when people ask you what phone you own and you answer, "I have the Vigor", it sounds like you're talking about male enhancement pills.

or, in my case, since sometimes i tend to mumble, vigor kinda sounds like a derogatory word used to describe people of a certain race...lol
