Root from ZV5 rooted to ZV6 rooted ??

they keep pushin this ZV6 I would like to upgrade it but dont want to lose root. I rooted ZV5 using LG One Click Root method with no recovery or twrp installed as yet. If I allow the ZV6 upgrade will I lose root and will LG One Click Root still do the trick on ZV6. I'd rather not have to mess with re-rooting at all. Suggestions or comments ??

I should add that I have removed some of the ZV5 bloatware if that matters in this upgrade.

When I flashed it I did not lose root but it did mess up recovery. Just reflashed TWRP with flashify and was good to go.
 
The zv6 update is just a patch for the stage fright exploit.

the app textra has built in stage fright protection. I use textra and disabled the stock messaging app, no need to update and possibly loose root or mess up your recovery.
 
FWIW I just tried to apply the v6 update and it failed. It simply rebooted the phone into TWRP. I tried to apply it with TWRP. It appeared to succeed (no error messages) but after I rebooted it still shows v5 as the version under Settings/About Phone/Software Information/Software Version. I also tried flashing it with flashify and still nothing changed.
