Front flash phones

Don't think you're going to be getting a Droid Turbo 2 in the UK, that brand is exclusive to Verizon Wireless, under license from Disney or Lucasfilm AFAIK. It likely will be released there, but will be called something else. Like the original Verizon Droid Turbo, was also known as Moto Maxx or Moto Turbo I think, depending on country or region.

It is called the Moto X Force which will be available in December. Other phones with front flash include Moto X Pure Edition and .............. I couldn't find any others from the major manufacturers such as HTC, Samsung, Sony, or Apple at least for the newest crop of phones. The iPhone does have something called Retina Flash for the front camera that seems to be software based.

I think they just turn the screen white and whack it up to full brightness.
Yep, the iPhone screen just flashes white for a split second. Here's a video of it:
The HTC Desire Eye from 2014 had a front-facing flash. And Asus have just released the Zenfone Selfie (given the name I guess you won't be too surprised to hear that one has a front flash).
The Moto X Pure Edition (Style) has front and rear flash.
