Fropm Carrier to Generic

Hi Everyone

Lets see if i get an answer from here

Ive been reading everywhere that not all carriers will be going over to 2.3 (gingerbread) because it is to much hassle but you can get the update if you are world generic.

Im on UK Vodafone and would like to now how to flash to world generic and how do you tell if you are carrier specific or world generic. I dont want to root just want to change to world generic so i can get the update to 2.3 first instead of waiting to see if vodafone will release it

baseband - 2.1.54
Kernel - 2.6.29
build - 2.1.A.0.435

I suggest you go over XDA-Developers.com and look for the X10, then the "Developers" section. Read the tutorials, and find the ROM you want.

It's as easy as downloading the ROM and the flash tool, and flashing the ROM to your phone. You'll need a Windows computer.
