Help Froyo 2.2.1 update issues

Hello!

I am trying to update my I9000 to froyo 2.2.1. I have checked both the cellphones internal version display as well as checked system panel's and they both show i'm using 2.2

When i hook the cellphone up to Kies it tells me that my cellphone already is up to date and has the latest version installed. From what i hear, there's a 2.2.1 update available. I'm in Sweden, if that makes any difference.

Am i the only one with this ackward problem?

Upgrade to latest version of Kies first, then hook up with usb and you will be able to upgrade to 2.2.1 - i did that this morning and i live in norway.

That's what i just did. It's 8.30am here, and nothing new shows. Just the same old "You have the latest version installed". Do they release new versions per country or is it europe / America etc

Yes, they do stagger releases

I can't seem to get it in the uk on t mobile. I'm getting sick of waiting for it

My cellphone was bought in sweden, but when i started it up and set it up for the first time - as well as when i do hard resets, it begins by using english. Is this normal for all I9000 unbranded or am i having an English /American cellphone so Kies is looking for the updates for those regions, whereas there might not be any yet?
