Help Froyo 2.2 failed for sgs

i have updated my SGS but running too slow. i have done factory reset also. some one has suggested me for root but i dont want to root my SGS. is there any possibilities to increase the speed?

in my opinion the froyo 2.2 is failed for SGS.

now i want my 2.1 back

is that possible?

please help.
