Help Froyo Question

[An UrgeTo Dance]

My friend has just bought a Galaxy S and was wondering if 2.2 is out for his phone yet, if you can tell me this or tell me how to check my friend would appreciate it. I know with my Evo it just sent me a message saying it was available.

You can do a manual check via the settings somewhere.

final official 2.2 release from Samsung is not out yet. But there is a 2.2 beta on the internet. Official release is expected next month. When its out, it should show up on Kies (Samsung's PC software suite). And on many big android news sites and forums .

the beta is unstable as hell.
