Froyo is a minor upgrade.
*Flash 10 support would be VERY nice....but consider that Adobe changes Flash so often that as soon as we gain 10 support they are likely to move to 11, thus dumping phones from service again.
*It speeds the phone up a bit. Well--the phone is already lightning fast.
*It allows install of apps on the SD card. So what? My storage is only 1/3 used on my phone and I have a bunch of stuff installed on it. What is the big deal putting apps on the SD card? Sure--they will stay when screwing with the Android versions....but they wont still be installed after an OS change (at least I think I am right about that....). Even then it only takes a few minutes to visit the market and reinstall all your apps.
I just don't see the big deal. Sure...having the latest and greatest is nice. And we have exactly that...with the hardware in the Epic 4G.
As soon as Froyo is released....the phone will be behind with Gingerbread.
If it is THAT big of a deal to you...jump ship to Verizon, pay $25 more a month, take a number and stand in line for 45 minutes to get any help at all in the store.....buy a Motorola Droid. I hope that works out for you.
Me--I will use this great phone...which surfs the Internet well, texts well, does email well, and does everything else well.
I would like Flash 10 support...but these are early, technical transition days. These things will sort themselves out over time.
