Help Froyo update issue

Hi folks

I just tried to update to 2.2 in UK after messing about for ages with Kies (another story) and all was well till it rebooted and now it stalls at the S symbol and vibrates every 30 seconds or so.

I would like to avoid factory reset if possible but is this my only option?

Im having exactly the same problem after the upgrade!

Problem is my handset is one that doesnt seem to have the 3 button recovery!

I have the same issue.

Factory reset did the job - I didn't have anything I minded losing.
