Yes i noticed that, its only when your signed in on youtube. Go and sign out from your account and it will display.

perhaps in the official froyo update that will be fixed.

Wouldn't bet on it. This issue has been in the last three updates of the youtube app 1.6.19, 1.6.20 and 1.6.21 (is that the FroYo version number?)

My guess is they're not aware of it yet

Clearing data @ settings->Applications for Youtube app solved problem for me.
