Sooo, my brother just rooted my Huawei Ascend , and i still have that crappy 2.1 update. and i want 2.2 . how do i get it? Pls someone help!
 
Right now your only option is flashing to CM6 if you want FroYo. There is no official update yet. Please look in the All Things Root section.

the only thing i'm confused about is when i go on the download rom , it just says Extras , and google apps , isn't there supposed to be a button that says Cm6 ?
 
The all things root guide might be hard to understand at first. Search on youtube for 2.1 to 2.2 on Huawei Ascend.

Sounds like you have d/l ROM MANAGER from the MARKET.I know exactly where you are looking on that app. CM6 or CM7 will not be on there as a 1-click download for the HUAWEI ASCEND.

Edit: Just follow TOKENPOKE'S GUIDE listed in the previous post for d/l ICARUS 1.1,CM6,or CM7.
