Root Frozen Blue Screen on boot (U8665 Device)

Hi all,

I successfully installed CyanogenMod 10.1 a few days ago and have been doing a few things to taylor/tweak to my liking since then. Today I went for a reboot and it's stuck on a blue screen.

I've tried all the button combinations on boot - which are only limited to two possibilities I believe with vol+ or vol- on power, for a duration of 10 - 20+ secs.

Fastboot or ADB doesn't detect any devices, although device manager on Win7 shows a Huawei Modem device when it's plugged in and the same for my Fedora netbook when I try it. But still, nonetheless, I get no response from the device at all.

So with the process of elimination, can anyone assist me or is this a irrecoverable bricking?

Thanks,

Can you get to the purple screen by turning the device off, then holding power, volume +, and volume - all at the same time?

Could be another color, but
purpleish.

yes, I can get to the purple screen as well - but from what I understand, it's for no real purpose, or did I overlook a post?

Appreciate the response

I have no idea how I screwed things up but apparently from what I gather, I fowled up the bootloader.
Had it rooted - CWM, CM 10.1 installed, all went well for about 2 days then input/output/kaput on reboot.

Unless someone else has a clever way to fix, I'm bricked until Huawei releases their firmware for this model.

I have sent you a PM, it should get you back up and running.

:D

I can't express enough how thankful I am for your help. I'm sure there are relevant reasons for posting the fix via PM, but I just wanted to post my thanks.

Hope you enjoy the coffee!

I've managed to replicate the issue after creating a Linux Swap partition on the SD Card and using Swapper 2. I had the swap memory working fine like it's supposed to until reboot.

lesson learned, do not do this

Me too!!! I've spent the past week trying stuff and looking up things, but without success. I would be extremely grateful to get this fixed and have a working phone again!

hi dear "ZeRoseDev"
i saw that you solved the hard brick for your own phone.
i have a bricked huawei g510 with just pink screen. no recovery and also no fastboot mode.
for the sake of God is there any solution for me?
no one can repair it.
it had official b190 rom and was rooted without unlocking bootloader.
i tried the same rom and also with the higher build number roms in foced upgrade mod (dload folder) but it doesnt work and eveytime it showed update failed.
please help me.

I've looked around a bit and found a page on it, but couldn't find any guide on how to fix it. Keep searching, you might find it, or post about it in the forum for that phone.

Don't try this method as it is a different model, and will likely permanently damage it.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

:(
