Frozen Screen

Hi - When I traced the screen unlock pattern tonight, my phone simply froze. I can see the pattern I traced, I tried powering off, plugging into charger, PC, nothing makes the slightest change. Frozen in place. Any suggestions? I would think removing the sd card might help, but I cannot get the back off the phone and don't want to force it! I have a Motorola A855.

While I don't advocate forcing the back cover off, it's removal would be helpful. My initial thought is to power down the phone, wait 30 seconds, and reboot. If the power button won't allow you to shut down the phone your next best solution would be to pull the battery.

Thanks - I could not force the back off & since it would not respond to holding the off button, I just let it run itself down. This morning I recharged, turned it on, and it's back to normal. I am stopping in the Verizon store today though to see what that was all about. Thanks again for your response.

No Problemo... also have Verizon check out the back to that phone as you need to be able to get it removed now and again too.
