Frustrated with Verizon!

At least I think this is from Verizon! So I've had SEVERAL replacements since I bought the RAZR.... don't get me wrong I LOOOVE the phone! But WHY is it that every time I get a "replacement" it's all beat up looking! The first one had the frame coming apart.... return....second phone had the back of the phone scratched and weird/bumpy...THIRD replacement had a ding on the frame AND scratches all over the screen! UGH! I called Verizon and all they seem to do is send another dinged phone! I get these are replacements "like new" but really?! So I decided to give up and keep the phone with the back scratched and return the other.....

Had to vent! The end!
 
Welcome to the VZ AA center!

IMO, I would locate an official "Authorized" VZ store in your area and see if they have stock to exchange it for a "real" new one, not a hand me down. If they can't help you, ask them for a local VZ area representative and contact him/her direct, I would not give up.
 
You might have luck getting a store to exchange it for a new one. I'm guessing their sitting on piles of razrs they can't sell after the maxx came out, and they wouldn't mind doing an exchange for you.
 
I already went to a store! No luck! Two Verizons! Both said, "we'll ship you another". I'm so over it... it sucks because I truly like the phone! ;(

Sorry to hear that. It's a shame they can't can't give you a phone that is actually like new.
 
Next time you call in to customer service, politely ask to speak to a supervisor, they'll be able to get it done.
 
Well....I'm new to smartphones...but have dealt with Verizon on too many occasions over faulty devices.

When it comes to USB modems and regular phones....the certified pre-owned devices have been MUCH more reliable for me...they always have the latest firmware, something many new phones don't have due to sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Just my experience though...and not with smartphones (mostly with USB modems)
 
I'm still getting replacements! So the last phone did not have any physical damage BUT had a dead pixel! Greeeeeeat! Getting another replacement tomorrow! jeez...
 
Just a quick update..... after much arguing with Verizon all I was able to accomplish was to get more refurbished phones. Supervisors didn't do crap! They claim the replacements phones come from Motorola... so basically after my original post, I now have received 3 more replacements each with some type of problem. If it wasn't physical damage it was a dead pixel! So the one I now have has what looks like a razor cut on the top part... as if they "accidentally" razored a little part of the top and the bottom of the phone has a tiny little bump that looks like a defect. Everything else works fine. No dead pixel.... I'm giving up. I can't have a perfect phone! I've concluded! Jeez! I guess what comforts me is that I'll always have a cover on it... although It irks looking at those little imperfections! BLAH!
 
and what is a supervisor supposed to do? they place the order just like any other rep. they can't put some kind of special code or instructions to "send a good quality unit pretty please with sugar on top and a handi-j on the side".

if you don't like Verizon's replacement process, contact the manufacturer. Verizon just replaces it for customer service, not for obligation or requirement. it's the manufacturer's warranty after all.
 
I guess what I had "hoped" was for a "new" phone vs a refurbished hence I've received nothing but dinged phones. But Your right, that's why I just gave up.. I'll never get anywhere with Motorola. It is what it is... just lame...

when id get a certified replacement from verizon, it was always trash, things were broken and scratched.
so i went in to my local verizon and complained and basically caused a scene until i got a new one lol.

Sadly Verizon has been severely clamping down on any from of good customer service lately.
