Frustrating Chrome issue

Hopefully someone will be able to help me out here. I've got a frustrating Chrome issue which only seems to have come about within the last couple of updates of the app. Basically the text resize is all to cock.

I've tried clearing the data, clearing the cache, changing the text size, tick and untick force zoom, uninstalled the updates and reinstalled but nothing seems to work. I've taken a couple of screen shots so maybe someone knows how to solve it.

I uninstalled the updates to get back to my original version of Chrome here, version 18:

That's with the screen fully zoomed out, all the writing is clear and easy to read (just the way I like it)

Here is the latest version of Chrome, version 26:

Screen fully zoomed out again and as you can see some sentences are larger than others and some are smaller. It's only ever smaller lines of writing that are small but it makes it hard work as I have to zoom in and out repeatedly.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Hello Yatezy.

Which launcher are you using. Some launchers don't play nice with various browsers and other app settings. Check all launcher settings which could influence the browser font and or page rendering.

I would clear cache and data again, but this time as a 3rd step I would uninstall Chrome.

After rebooting I would then go ahead and reinstall Chrome from scratch, being careful to not import any backed up settings.

It's happened with both Apex and Holo (currently using Holo).

If all else fails I'll completely reinstall it from scratch.

Unfortunately it does it with a few, even worse when I visit XDA (like that site needed to be harder work than it already is )

Just to make life more awkward than it already is, I've flashed a new ROM earlier and Chrome is now playing fine. I might just not update it tbh!

I'm having the same problem and it's very annoying. Text in forums is inconsistent and different sizes even in the same thread on the same page. It seems that if you turn the phone to landscape mode these are made a little more uniform... I think. I haven't experimented with it too much to be sure that's the case but that's what I seem to recall. I do know that Chrome worked flawlessly in this respect for quite a while and then a couple of updates ago.. same issue. Suddenly a lot of the text wasn't readable where previously it was. It's tiny and then suddenly a few posts later it's standard size and you can read it. I haven't adjusted any settings so I'm sure it wasn't something I did. I'm running ADW Launcher as well as I saw someone said this may affect your browser? Not sure how this would affect your browser but even so I didn't adjust any settings in the launcher before or after either so it was something the browser did and started with the previous update.
