FTP to M8S

hi I wonder if anyone can help?
I am trying to ftp to my new M8S box using FileZilla but I can't seem to find the root user name and password?

Would anyone be able to help!

Read the instructions provided with your FTp server APP.

Thanks but I'm not using a ftp server app on the m8s.
I should be able to connect to the to box without installing an app on it? I could with Apple TV and was hoping the m8s would be the same. Any further advice would be good.

Most of the better file managers have built-in FTP servers.
Try X-plore, File Expert HD, or ES File explorer, or one of the dedicated FTP servers.

Thanks for the tips glc really helpful. I'm new to android but that was simple once I looked up how to ftp in Es explorer.
