I have two identical 10" Samsung Galaxy tablets. Long story why, but I want to basically clone the entire contents of the one to the other. Is there an app, procedure or other relatively easy way to do this?

If they are exactly the same model, are both rooted with the same custom recovery, then yes: take a recovery backup with one tablet, restore it on the other. That won't do the low-level firmware, but will include the Linux kernel and the android OS and system apps (ROM) as well as user apps, data and settings.

Otherwise the closest you can do to use the Helium backup app to back up apps and data from one tablet and restore them to the other. I'm not sure whether that will include system settings (I've only used it once - I generally use root solutions), and it certainly won't do system software, so it's not the image backup that the thread title asks for, but it's the best I can think of.

Neither one is rooted. I guess I'm really looking to just back up certain apps and its data. Therefore, Helium backup might work. I see the free and premium version on the Play store. What is the main difference?

From memory I think you need to use a computer with the free one. But as I say, I only used it once, 2.5 years ago, so don't recall it very well.
