Help Full signal but not making calls.

Hi all!

I have a slight problem.

My phone shows full signal but does not make calls or receive them either. I have moved my sim into another HTC Desire HD phone and it works fine. If I go onto "additional settings" under "Call", it says network / sim error.

Any ideas how to fix this?

No, I've not rooted my phone or anything.

Try switching into airplane mode and back out again.

Nope still not working. I just did a factory reset as well. It recognises the sim, the network shows up and everything, but it wont make or receive calls / texts.

I've heard of this before and unless I'm mistaken it's some kind of hardware problem. There is a similar thread on here from last year I've just noticed!

Ah thanks! I'll try calling HTC / 3 and see what they say.

I contacted HTC and they were willing to take the phone for repairs. They did. When it got there, I received a call saying the security seal on the phone had been tampered with and so they were unable to repair it. That's funny, because I sent the phone to them once before and they lost it. After months they sent it back. I've never opened my phone or done anything dodgy to it, so have no idea what's wrong with it. When they send it back, I'm going to send it to 3 and see what they say.
