Funny pictures!

I wish I could say the same, but the family living across the road from us are pure unadulterated whack-jobs. :(

Would you want to accept parcels for them? ;)

Just remember, you asked!

A couple of years ago I placed an order for a box of candles on Amazon. I was at work and got the text notification that they had been delivered. When I got home there was indeed a package on the front porch, but it was for the WJN (Whack-Job Neighbors). We are #10 and they are #9. Since they had not yet come home from work (or so I thought) I courteously walked the package over to their house and left it on the front porch.

I immediately contacted both Amazon and UPS about the mix-up. They were both adamant that my package was delivered. Long story short, the WJN were home and accepted the package with my name and address on it from UPS. They then sat on it for a week before calling UPS to pick up an improperly delivered package, who took the package back, returned it to the vendor who subsequently shipped it back to me and was delivered to the correct address. All for $12 worth of candles.

For the record, the WJN do not speak to anyone on the block. Each directly adjacent neighbor has had some issue with them and I am sure they think there is some grand conspiracy to persecute them. Oh, and in the 14 years we've lived here, the police have only ever stopped at one house on our block (multiple times)... guess which one? ;)
