One of the few things I can do while recuperating from shoulder surgery is enjoy a movie…and then this, 17 minutes before the end of a movie that’s building to the climax…and it never recovered. @MoodyBlues you’re a DTV fan, hopefully you haven’t had to suffer this insult!

No, I haven't had the exact same thing happen, but I do have a question or two. Was it a paid movie? Either way, if it's still available [on demand] you can start it up again and see the end.
If you paid for it, call DirecTV (and I do mean CALL--you'll talk to a really nice CSR who will be courteous, helpful and knowledgeable) and tell them what happened. If it's still available, they'll let you watch it without charging you again, and if it's not, they'll credit your account. FWIW, I'm speaking from my personal experience with them. YMMV....but I'd be very surprised.
