It's sad when you have to admit remembering all on the above list. I did not carry a metal lunch box. They were expensive! I carried my lunch in a sack.
I used a lunchbox in early elementary school, the glass thermos would break immediately so my mom would tape three pennies to the inside lid for milk. Had to switch to bags when my younger siblings started school because a lunchbox for each of us was not in the budget.

Agreed! I remember them all (but never had a party line). My lunchbox was a "Howdy Doody" (who remembers THAT?) theme in the early years, then moved to the good ol' brown paper bag. Much cooler!
When I was dating my wife, her parents had a party line. The guy that shared the line got very rude with us hogging the line. I can't blame him but when a person is dating someone seriously, an open line of communication is important.
