OT / FYI : I never see them either on Chrome mobile.
No VPN 's etc.
I can't remember if I was given a solution in my past lives here, but I'm OK with it. I can't be bothered to change.

It's working today without disabling the VPN. Weird. At least I know what to try if it happens again.
