.(Bear with me....) Perhaps Jane and Joseph were siblings, grew up sharing a bathroom?
In school, I was on the swim team with a brother and sister who shared a bathroom in their home; One day in the locker room, after a workout, Andy had a close call. When loading his gym bag that morning, he had confused some of his sister's "personal care products" with his own.......And later in the day, he came within an instant of rubbing a palm full of "Nair" into his scalp!
