I bought my hearing aids at Costco and they had me test drive my prescription by walking about the store. All I heard was the squeaking, rattling, and rough bearing noise from the carts. Being mostly deaf is not all bad.

When I was 18 or 19 years old, I got a gig playing in a band for the strippers.
It's a good thing the band sat down. That way my appreciation didn't show.
This was before they started dancing to recordings. They were like sisters, asking for their favorite songs to dance to. They weren't allowed to date the customers, band members, or bartenders. Just working girls, trying to make a living.
On the weekends, a girl with an Asian name which forget (something like Maninaki) would do a show. She was billed as the girl with a million dollar wardrobe, but she didn't keep it on all that long. All the months we gigged there, I never saw her take the same outfit off twice.
Good memories.
