Every morning, without fail, the old guys file into our Hardee's with their 1970s lifetime coffee cup in hand. With that cup, their coffee is free. Though they sit and solve all the world's problems, the solutions never make it out the door.
They do this all over West TN and Eastern Arkansas at McDonald's. What sucks is when you're in really small town, like Marked Tree, Arkansas for example and they take up the entire restaurant where there is no where to sit for those actual paying customers. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be about it. They need to implement a policy that the senior citizen coffee is free with purchase. They have nothing to lose because these folks aren't purchasing anything.

Throw in a foot activated hi / lo beam switch for good measure. The first truck I drove was a 1936 Ford that had a foot activated starter on the floor.
I didn't own it but I've driven a Ford model A. The timing (spark advance) was controlled by a hand lever on the steering column. The one I was introduced to I had to consider the fuel-air mixture as well. It was odd to handle something with limited gear synchronization.

I'm surprised there isn't a [Remove pizza from box before reheating] as well. We are doomed!
I'm sure the lawyers debated it, but then decided that some idiot out there would remove the pizza from the box, reheat the box without the pizza, and sue because the instructions resulted in cold pizza. And yes, we're doomed. I recently bought a power scrubber: it came with an 11-page operating manual, only 4 pages of which are in English. This is a perfect example of what happens when lawyers write the operating manual. Of those 4 pages, 3-3/4 of them are warnings and advisories. The section on "Assembly" has one warning and one note; the section on "Operation" has five warnings and two notes. What they completely failed to include in the operating manual, however, are any instructions on how to put it together and make it work!
