That reminds me of the first time I was asked to say "Grace" for Thanksgiving Dinner. I'm the youngest of a fair sized family with 5 siblings. We had most of my dad's siblings and their families in tow making it a sizable gathering. Of course I was naive at a ripe young age of 6 or so, and agreed to do the "honors" for the meal. Everyone bowed their heads and I followed suit. Then I said "Grace", not a prayer mind you, but the word or rather name "Grace"
So as my aunt's, uncles, cousins and siblings were wiping tears of their faces. I'm left wondering what was going on when my dad starts yelling at me for "making a joke about religious beliefs" to which my grandmother (his mother) snaps at him for admonishing me for something I (at the time) had not been taught. It has been standing comedy in the family at thanksgiving since.
