Future Android

You should choose whatever you like best within your budget. That sounds glib, but it's serious advice: most phones these days are capable of doing what most people want.

If your concern is updates then a recent flagship handset from a major manufacturer is your best bet, while a cheap Chinese handset is unlikely ever to get an update. The very best bet right now for updates is the Nexus 5, though if there's a Nexus 6 (or whatever it might be called) in a few months then that will get updates for even longer.

The device/carrier comparisons subforum here has a sticky thread that compares different manufacturers' tracks records on updates.

Thanks!

The last time I read that some company give up Android system. They want to develope their OS for example Tizen. On the other hands, market apps is very dynamic. Probably in 2020 we will be having much more smartphones than now.

From two years I have been writing easy Android Apps. So I will nothing change.

Speculation about Samsung dropping Android for Tizen is something the blogs put out occasionally, but it doesn't seem at all likely. If it worked there would be advantages for Samsung, but there's also a huge risk, and their last attempt at this, Bada, was a total failure. So I'd not expect there is any risk of a big manufacturer dropping Android in the next couple of years (unless they drop out of phones altogether).

Welcome to the forums! :D

Samsung isn't dropping android anytime soon. You don't have to worry about that. ;)

If you give us a budget and whether you plan to buy on or off contract, we can provide you with some phones to check out

I don't want to do any advertisement, but in my country, in nowdays, there is a big war between various OS. We'll see.

What is the Advantages of having a Rooted phone? Can you get Android software updates? For Example Android Jelly Bean to KitKatt I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Unlocked and Rooted?

First check out the FAQ thread: http://androidforums.com/faqs/443432-what-root-being-rooted-mean.html

Does it let you get Android updates? Yes and no actually. You generally can't get official updates over the air once you are rooted, as these are intended as patches to unmodified software, so if they install at all there's a risk of them causing problems. But you can install custom ROMs (assuming you installed a custom recovery during or after rooting), which may also mean that you can get more recent versions of android than your manufacturer or carrier released. But this does depend on there being sufficient developer interest for people to be producing custom ROMs for the particular phone - should not be a problem with a Note 3, but lower end/less popular handset will typically have less developer support, and off-brand Chinese phones and clones will generally have no development community at all.

To find out what's available for your phone, visit our Note 3 forum and the All Things Root section (of which there are several, as rooting and ROMs can be different between different versions of the phone).
