G "day all, Qwerty vs on Screen Keyboard?

Hello everyone,

Just getting ready to take the smart phone plunge. I am considering a Droid 4 vs Galaxy Nexus or Razr.

How do people feel about qwerty vs on screen text entry? Which is faster? Is the amount of screen space taken by on screen KB's make a problem. Is it worth it to get a droid 4 primarily for this feature?

I anticipate I will use my phone for CALLS, emails, light texting, calendar mgt, general web surfing, some forum posting and multimedia viewing.

Hello glasswave. Welcome to Android Forums. You are asking questions that only you can answer. We have sub forums here for each Android device. You might want to drop into the phone areas that have your interest and read what the owners/users of those devices have to say. As for touch screen vs physical keyboard, that is a personal preference. I use a screen keyboard and can't imagine anything different.
I will toss out one other phone you might want to read up on. It's the HTC Rezound.
It too is in the same class as the Razr and the up coming Nexus.

Thanks for the reply. I get the feeling that on the phone specific boards, the droid guys will all say get the kb while the razr guys won't care. I was hoping to get pros & cons from people that have used both.

Thx again
