Hi I hope you can help.
I have a HTC desire HD. I have it synced to my gmail a/c via the Google app.
I am of to France next month and because of the limit Orange have on data abroad I wondered if there is a way to limit the data to say just the header within Google.

Hope this makes sense. Cheers John

Ah, apologies, I misread and thought you were using the mail app as opposed to the gmail one.

There are no settings I can see within the app itself that allow you to download just the header.

If you use the standard mail app, you can set that so that you just get the headers. If you need it, you can find help on Google that explains how to set up Gmail using different email clients - it should give you all the settings you need.

Is it possible to hide my gmail a/c on my phone and use a different email just while I'm away. Or will I have to remove gmail from my phone and reinstall it when I get back?

If you go to Settings >> Accounts & Sync, you should see your gmail account listed. Click on it and untick email (and everything else) and your emails won't be synced unless you do it manually.

Brilliant that's perfect I can un-sync them and do it manually at a free wifi hub. Thanks for all your help.

Cheers John
