G Pad Gets Kit Kat 4.4.2

Happy Friday everyone!!

Kit Kat 4.4.2 (version v50020B) is now available for our beloved G Pad. It is available via LG PC Suite ONLY. Took about 30 minutes without backup. Fyi, I am in Cali.

The only issue for me, right now, is that Cool Reader is not able to access my external SD card. External SD Card is 64Gb. But all other apps that access my external SD card worked...oh well, switched to Aldiko and all is well. :D

Cheers!

My tablet isn't taking the download.I get a strange unintelligible message after downloading.

Resetting the device & starting over,I'll check back later on.......

EDIT/UPDATE:

Operator error on my part, was trying to use the LG Updating Tool, instead of the LG PC SUITE.

Update went smoothly on 1st attempt.

THX Bangjr! :D

You're most welcome Kolio.

Had a "slight" issue yesterday - my SD card showed 0 bytes on it but was still mounted. Utilizing File Manager, I was not able to access it. Proceeded to unmount it. Took it out of the G Pad. Slid it in my Win 7 and it was recognized...sigh of relief. Took it back to the G Pad...did not show up immediately but it did eventually. Will have to monitor this...and back the card up.

Downloaded mine OTA today simply by manually checking for an update. Took about 20 minutes and 2 restarts. No issues and the "app opening lag" seems much better now.

I got the update available on my G Pad this morning (I'm in CA) but I am not going to install it.
It seems almost everyone on the XDA forum who installed it has SD card problems. I do not need SD card problems and my Gpad works perfectly fine on stock so on stock it will stay - for now.

Note that if your G Pad is rooted, you can get a flashable zip file from the G Pad forum on XDA that will install the 4.4.2 stock update complete with root and you will be able to retain your custom recovery. If all of that means nothing to you, please ignore.

I wouldn't mind having the option of stock w/root,even though I've got the update already.
