I am switching to T-Mobile (US) and am totally set on getting an Android phone. Here's what I do:
I do plan on rooting either device as soon as I get it.
Now, my main concern with the MyTouch is not having a physical keyboard. I am coming from an LG Voyager (Verizon) which had a horrible email and web client but had an awesome keyboard so I managed with it. Please note I have little stubs for thumbs and would most likely have to use the MyTouch keyboard in landscape mode for most of my typing.
- Heavy Texting
- Heavy Mobile Internet Use
- Light Email (Basically To Check Gmail, Nothing Serious)
- I also use the GPS feature quite often
- Using Android as a Dev Platform
