G1 won't close.

My g1 doesn't close all the way, it almost does and then it just stays there. Any ideas on how to fix it?

1) Be really careful with forcing it.

2) Examine the flat cable connector, on the back of the display. I read some other thread, some poor chap ended up breaking his G1 because he mangled that cable.
