G2 LED, general tweaks

Hey all. i just wanted to know if there was any general way to make tweaks to the g2 without rooting. basically what i want to do is make the LED light (that shows up when your charging) into a notification light, make the trackpad button a wake button, control music without having to unlock the phone and open up the music app, etc etc. If there is ANYWAY to do this without rooting (aka app, fooling around with the settings, etc), please let me know. thanks

if you download load power amp you cabn havea widget taht is on the lockscreen.

Closest I know of to that is using Tasker. Though it would require a learning curve to set all of that up.
