Help G2 stuck on HTC start-up screen

Hi, I got water (sweat) damage in my phone the other day but it was still working even though it had water damage. Once I found out it had water damage which was a couple hours after it happened, I took the battery out and put it in rice to try to absorb the water. Now when I try to turn my phone on, it turns on fine but stays at the first HTC "welcome" screen. I've also tried the volume down, power thing and that works but when I try to factory reset it or reboot it, it gets stuck on the same screen. Is there a way to repair or fix this or is it broken for good?

DO NOT buy this phone if you use it to work out. Sweat runs down the ear phone line and contaminates the guts.

IT HAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT CAUSES THIS.

Of Course, t-mobile will hose you for "non warranty" damage. Cell Phone Insurance will not cover it either.

Beware: t-mobile + g2 + sweat = $125 non-warranty cost.
