G3 speaker issue

Hi!
I have come by a LG G3 D855 with no speaker sound. Thinking a new speaker is no problem, I bought it.
I bought and put in a new unit, but still no sound.
It has Android 6.0. Everything else seem to work fine, also sound via headphones and bluetooth.

Could it be a software problem?
Is this unit A6,0 from start?
Is it rooted? How to find out?
