Just been reading this over on XDA. Has anyone heard this before? Having just got my replacement from bootloop (granted that probably to do with the root inject attempt without unlocking bootloader, but it is the bootloader unlock that voids the warranty anyway right?) I am just worried about trying again and having a faulty device anyway.
I can't find the bit of the serial number that says when my old one was made but I would like to know if my replacement is safe to try again too. I don't particularly want to risk another break and ridiculous excess but I really miss root. And if something happens to brick it later down the line, be it of my own fault or not....
I'm starting to regret choosing this phone, as great, powerful, good snapper etc etc it is, I just miss the good old days of simple rooting of Galaxy S2 or HTC Desire and the like.
I've had a quick scout round the internet after reading this but can't find anything on any faulty G4 motherboards.
