Help G4 not recognising SD Card

Motorhomer

My LG G4 no longer recognises my SD card. I've tried another card and the original one works fine in another device, so I know it's the phone.

Has anyone had this problem? I'm currently doing a cloud backup as I obviously can't do a full backup to my card. I'm considering a factory reset in the hope that this will cure the problem but that will be a last resort as it will restore to the original operating software and I've had at least one upgrade since I bought it.

Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Thanks

First off,I have not had any issues with my G4 recognizing my sd card,Works fine here.
And that is a good ideal,On doing a factory reset,And your update will be there even after the factory reset.
The only time you will loose all of the updates/upgrades will be when you flash the stock firmware.

I have exactly the same problem. Verizon pushed out an update (software version VS98613B/Android security patch level "2015-11-01"), which I installed yesterday. It fixed the Stagefright vulnerability, but it has left me with no SD card functionality.

The card I had installed suddenly reported "SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem." It works fine in my PC. I also tried another card that works elsewhere, and I get the same error in my G4. Did the factory reset help you, Motorhomer?

Sorry about the delay. My factory reset did nothing I'm afraid. It appears that my fault is a physical one and the phone doesn't even know that there's an SD card in it. It has to go back to be repaired.
