G510 Notifications on Messenger

My Huawei G510 has a problem with all aspects of notifications related to FB Messenger. Other apps show light and sound, all relevant boxes are ticked , but messages go missing due to no notification.
Any app download to solve this irritation?

It might be an incompatability. I would clear the cache and data on the FB app and see what happens.

Well, head over to the settings>application manager>scroll to the fb app>tap over it and you will get the option to clear the cache and the data stored by the fb app !

Thanks. Got adventuurous and figured it out , but no change. Root app install, no change.
Messenger Ringtone app?

Getting really pissed off. Used to work now missing imprtant messages.

You can try some Android recovery software to get the messages back, like Dr.Fone for Android.

Thanks for the support but it turned out to be simple.
Went to FB main, selected notification sound.Voila!
Confusing.
Won't work on Messenger alone.

Maybe, but they supply a list and it used to work.Just quit one day, now happily back in action.
